The ‘approved
trainer’ scheme is designed to enable lone traders and
training companies to access nationally approved training,
without the hassle of trying to develop systems and
procedures in place to meet the stringent requirements for
approval. We have done all of that for you. Whether you are
self employed or working for a care or training provider you
are able to access the scheme. There is no contract
demanding a minimum number of courses to be delivered.
Once approved
to deliver a course CCTraining Consultants ltd. will provide
ongoing support, advice and guidance for the courses being
delivered on approval. Regular meetings and visits from our
staff will help you to develop your skills, answer your
questions and to look at ways of expanding your training
portfolio.
Where skills
sets are in place, all of our materials cover the ‘skills
sets’ outlined by Skills for Care. All materials are
designed to be used as evidence for NVQs, with this in mind
all course work is returned to the candidates once they have
received their certificates. We also check everything
against the Care Standards before applying for National
Accreditation. With our experience we can also help you
develop your materials for National Accreditation.
We
make a point of contacting CSCI to check what they are
looking for in each area we cover. We have documented
evidence that are materials reach the standards they are
looking for. In addition CSCI inspectors have recommended us
to homes that have insufficient training provision.
How the scheme benefits you.
There are two main benefits
of this scheme.
Flexibility.
· You
can train any number of staff. Most trainers coming
into the workplace will stipulate a minimum and maximum
number depending on the course. You will be charged for a
minimum number, even if you only want to train two or three
people.
· As
long as you cover all the main learning objectives for a
course you can concentrate on those that are most relevant
for your staff. This means you can adapt the training so
that you can support staff to develop best practice in your
particular setting.
· You
can break down training sessions in any way that suits you.
Taking staff off the floor for a whole day is often very
difficult. By training them yourself you can fit in with
rotas or use staff meetings as training sessions. Our
guidance notes give advice on how best to do this.
Cost effectiveness
· The
flexibility offered by this scheme will in itself have cost
benefits
· As
an approved trainer you save the cost of paying an external
training provider for their time.
· You
will pay on average
£10 per learner less
by
training staff using our materials than we would charge to
come to your workplace to deliver the training for you.
· Using
our approved trainer scheme to target training where it is
most needed you will contribute to the motivation,
effectiveness and stability of your staff team, thus
reducing staff turnover and the need to continually play
catch up with their training.
Cost of the scheme
You will
be charged an initial
registration fee of £150.
The registration fee is a single one off
payment and is fixed regardless of the
number of different courses you deliver. This will save you on average £10 per learner per course.
We will
also make an
annual charge of £75
in
subsequent years to maintain your approved trainer status.
